TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Introduction

Purpose:
The purpose of the terms and conditions is to ensure clear communication of our enrollment and refund policies, as well as to ensure the safety of all our campers.

Scope:
These terms apply to all camps, classes, and events organized by TechLabs.

2. Payment and Enrollment Terms

For Camps and Classes:
To secure your child's participation in one of our class or camp programs, a deposit of 50% is required once we confirm your child's enrollment in the Class or Camp. Any remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the start of a class or camp program. Please note that confirmation of any event occurs only when the minimum number of participants is reached.

For Workshops:
Full payment is due upon confirmation. Please note that confirmation of any event occurs only when the minimum number of participants is reached.

Your child's place in the program cannot be guaranteed until the required deposit or payment is received. Enrollment will not be processed without payment.

If you are unable to make the payment by the specified deadline but still wish to enroll your child, please contact us at info@techlabs.ch to discuss alternative payment arrangements.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refunds:
Refunds are available under the following conditions:

  • After-School Classes and Workshops:

    • 100% refund of fees or deposit if the enrollment is canceled 30 or more days before the start of the first class.

    • 50% refund of fees or deposit if the enrollment is canceled less than 30 days before the start of the first class.

  • Day Camps:

    • 100% refund of fees or deposit if the enrollment is canceled 30 or more days before the first session of the day camp.

    • 50% refund of fees or deposit if the enrollment is canceled 14-30 days before the start of the first session.

  • Overnight Camps:

    • 100% refund if the enrollment is canceled 60 or more days before the first session of the camp.

    • 50% refund if the enrollment is canceled 30-60 days before the start of the camp.

    • 20% refund if the enrollment is canceled less than 30 days before the start of the camp.

Medical Cancellations:
A 100% refund of fees or deposit is available if the participant is unable to attend 50% or more of the classes due to a medical condition. A medical certificate is required for this refund.

Cancellation by Participant:
Participants may cancel their enrollment by notifying TechLabs through the provided communication channels (email, phone, or SMS). Cancellations will be subject to the refund policy outlined above. Any cancellation made outside the specified time frames may result in a partial refund or no refund, depending on the timing and circumstances.

Cancellation by Company:
TechLabs reserves the right to cancel any class, workshop, camp, or event at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient enrollment. In the event that TechLabs cancels a session or program, participants will be notified promptly and will receive a full refund for any canceled sessions. If a program is canceled before it begins, a full refund of all fees paid will be issued.

4. Attendance and Punctuality

Absence Reporting:
It is important to notify the office in case of absence. Please use the contact details provided in your camp information emails.

Punctuality:
Arriving on time is essential to maximize the learning experience and ensure that sessions start smoothly.

5. Code of Conduct

All participants in TechLabs programs are required to adhere to our Code of Conduct, which is designed to create a positive, respectful, and safe environment for everyone. This includes showing respect for teachers, peers, the environment, and all equipment.

Respectful Behavior:
Participants are expected to:

  • Treat all instructors, peers, and staff with respect.

  • Care for the environment and the equipment provided during the program.

  • Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by TechLabs staff.

Failure to adhere to these expectations may result in consequences, including verbal warnings, suspension, or expulsion from the program without a refund.

Anti-Bullying Policy:
TechLabs maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards bullying, hate speech, and any form of harassment. Any participant found engaging in such behavior will face immediate disciplinary action, which may include expulsion from the program without a refund.

Responsibility for Damages:
Parents or guardians will be held financially responsible for any equipment that is intentionally damaged or broken due to gross misconduct by their child. TechLabs reserves the right to assess damages and seek reimbursement as necessary.

6. Safety and Health

Medical Conditions and Dietary Restrictions:
Parents/guardians are encouraged to disclose any medical conditions or dietary restrictions.

Snacks and Meals:
TechLabs provides snacks during its half day programs, and snacks and lunch during its full day programs at some of its facilities and programs. TechLabs will provide detailed information about the expected snacks and menus. TechLabs encourages families to send their own snacks and lunches if they wish to have an alternative to snacks and lunches provided.

Emergency Procedures:
TechLabs has procedures in place for handling medical emergencies. In order to facilitate emergency response, TechLabs encourages families to complete the medical information forms provided to participants.

7. Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures

Designated Pick-Up:
Please follow the designated procedure for picking up children, including any required identification.

Permission to Leave:
Parents/guardians can authorize their child to leave unaccompanied by providing explicit permission.

Attendance System:

In order to facilitate the independence of participants, TechLabs employs an automated attendance system that sends automated emails to families informing them of the arrival and departure of participants.

8. Media Consent

Photos and Videos:
Images and videos may be used for promotional purposes. Parents can opt out by notifying us in writing.

Social Media and Marketing:
Images and videos may appear on our website, social media, and other promotional materials.

9. Privacy Policy

Data Collection:
We collect data to process your registration and keep you informed about our programs.

Data Security:
We store data securely and take measures to protect it.

Third-Party Sharing:
We do not share data with third parties without your consent unless required by law.

10. Rules and Condition Changes

Modification Clause:
The company reserves the right to change the terms and conditions. It is the participant's responsibility to stay informed of any changes.

11. Liability and Indemnity

Liability Waiver:
We include a waiver of liability for injuries or accidents that may occur during the program, except in cases of gross negligence.

Indemnity Clause:
Participants agree to indemnify the company against any claims arising from their participation in the program.

12. Governing Law

Jurisdiction:
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Basel Stadt, Switzerland, and any legal disputes will be resolved in this jurisdiction.
